The Yarra Valley isn’t just
a backdrop. It’s the whole mood.
From the dense green of the Dandenong Ranges to the open vine-covered hills of the Upper Valley, the Yarra Valley is one of the most naturally photogenic places in Victoria. I’ve been photographing weddings here since 2014, and it still gets me every time the light drops behind the hills at golden hour.
Being a local means I know the venues the way most photographers only learn from a site visit. I know which corner of the Immerse grounds catches the afternoon light in a way nothing else does. I know the stone walls at Montsalvat at dusk. I know the ancient trees at Cloudehill, and the clearing at Lightning Hill where nobody thinks to go until I show them.
That familiarity shows in the photos. You don’t get the safe, obvious shots you could get from anyone. You get the ones only a local would think to take.

I grew up in the Yarra Valley. I’m not visiting when I come to photograph your wedding, I’m home. That matters more than you might think, especially when it’s five minutes before golden hour and I know exactly which gap in the treeline the light is going to come through.
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2014. Over 300 couples. 50-plus five-star Google reviews. I’m still doing it because I genuinely love it, and because I haven’t found a way to replicate what happens when two people who are completely in love stop noticing the camera.
That’s what I’m trying to get every time.
Looking through our wedding photos feels like reliving the day all over again. They take us right back to that moment, and feel completely like us.
