Century Inn, Traralgon
Is there a more perfect day for a wedding than Valentine’s Day? Teigan and Peter didn’t think so and so it was that we made our way to Traralgon on February 14th 2015. Weather wise the day did not start well. Rainy, stormy and humid, both bride and groom were hoping for a change come their ceremony time. We met Teigan in the shelter of her home, with her two bridesmaids, Mum and many pets. Being animal lovers ourselves, we were very excited to capture Teigan with her gorgeous pups and soon-to-be award winning bunny! Teigan and Peter’s day was filled with lots of extra little touches and we loved playing around with her stunning flowers, shoes, rings and other keepsakes whilst the bridal party enjoyed their time getting beautiful. One of our favourite poses to shoot on a wedding day is the bride silhouetted against a window and Teigan’s stunning dress made for an incredible rendition of this image. From the bride we made our way to the ceremony and reception venue, the Century Inn, to meet with Peter, his groomsmen and family. The boisterous laughter and jokes coming from their room told us we were going to be in for a lot of fun with this group and we were not disappointed! In between the ‘Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the groom!’ shots and cheersing between brothers and mates, we were able to capture some very tender shots of Peter and his family that we hope they will treasure forever. It wasn’t a long walk to get to the ceremony space where we anxiously awaited the arrival of the bride. Teigan was walked down the aisle by her very proud Mum and the tears were flowing all round! The ceremony was short and sweet, but captured the love and commitment of this couple perfectly. As if on cue, the sun broke through the clouds and allowed us to set up some fantastic shots of the new husband and wife and their closet family and friends. The reception was one big party and celebration of Teigan, Peter and their love for each other. From the love heart features on the bridal table and cupcakes, to the touching speech and toast Peter gave to his wife, there is no denying that this is a couple who have truly found their partner for life. We were very honoured to have been a part of Teigan and Peter’s wedding day and we wish them a marriage full of love, fun and adventure.
