I’ve spent the last twelve years showing up to the most important day of people’s lives and somehow, it never gets old.
I got into wedding photography
because I fell in love with the moment.
Not the posed moment the one just after. When the couple look at each other and completely forget I’m there. When the dad sees his daughter in her dress for the first time. When the best man’s speech goes sideways and everyone is laughing so hard they’re crying.
Those moments don’t happen on command. They happen when everyone is relaxed and having fun — and that’s what I spend most of my energy creating.
I’ve been photographing weddings across Melbourne and the Yarra Valley since 2014. Over 300 couples. Hundreds of different venues. Every single one different.

THE PROCESS
How I like to work with you
First, I’ll shout you a coffee.
We meet before the day. No pitch, no hard sell, just a chat, so by the time of your wedding we actually know each other.
Then we’ll plan the day together.
We map out the timeline so the part most couples find stressful is already sorted long before the morning arrives.
Then you get married. I’ll document your wedding day.
You stay present in your own day. I stay out of the way and quietly catch the moments you’ll want to keep.

My favourite artist. That blue. The way he made colour feel like an emotion rather than just a colour.

The symmetry. Every single frame feels considered. I love that nothing is accidental.
Edgar Degas — The Orchestra at the Opera
I saw this in person and it stopped me in my tracks. The light in it is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Still think about it.

The look of it. That slightly uneasy feeling underneath something that appears perfect. I find that tension really interesting.

The best photograph ever taken. I don’t think that’s debatable. Those eyes changed what I thought a photo could do.
